Earth....Month!
During DEAR time a few months back I was reading Me and Marvin Gardens by A.S. King. The protagonist mentions that his teacher doesn’t believe that the Earth should only receive one day to commemorate it and therefore she shares a fact about the Earth every day for the month of April.
Well, April is also Math Month and Arab American Heritage Month, but I felt like there really was something important about that message. So, here is my Earth Month Fact-A-Day Calendar and some samples of the little factoids that I share each morning with my students.
